Behaviour Expectations

Behaviour Expectations

EVO is a family-friendly club where all swimmers have the right to learn and improve their swimming in a respectful and safe environment. Swimmers enrolled with Evolution Aquatics Tauranga (EVO) participate in the program for fun, fitness, and competition. The skills they learn while swimming go well beyond what is taught in the pool and EVO is committed to making everyone’s involvement in the Club a positive experience.

The Swimming New Zealand Member Protection Policy defines the appropriate parameters for interactions and obligations and thus, identifies the required standard of behaviour for swimmers, parents, staff, and coaches.

We encourage you to review this policy carefully and share and discuss the information with your swimmer.

Incident and Concerns

All swimmers and parents are encouraged to informally report incidents or concerns to instructors, coaches, the LTS Coordinator/Club Administrator, or any member of the Evolution Aquatics Tauranga Board at any time. These will be discussed with the instructor, coach, or swimmer in question and if further action is required the Board will be informed.

Should a swimmer or parent feel that a verbal complaint is insufficient, they must write a formal complaint to the Board Chairperson at The Board will investigate the complaint and discuss the findings before deciding the action to take. A formal response will then be given.

As a club, we welcome all feedback and want to deal with matters before they become serious. It is our hope all swimmers and parents feel that they can discuss any issues, however small, with their swimmer's instructor, coach, LTS Coordinator/Club Administrator, or Board member.
