Vaccination update - 21 Nov 2021

Last week Bay Venues advised that it is “Extremely Likely” that they will opt into the COVID-19 Protection Framework when it comes into effect locally. This means every person utilising their facilities who is 12 and over will need to produce a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Bay Venues have not yet indicated timing other than to say it is not far away.

As Evolution Aquatics operates predominately out of Bay Venues facilities, all of our 12 and over members, staff, coaches and parents/caregivers who wish to enter Bay Venue facilities will be required to adhere to their requirements.

In parallel, the Evolution Aquatics Board is undertaking a risk assessment to determine our own stance/policy on Vaccination and the associated risks to our club. We also expect Swimming NZ to go down a similar path to Bay Venues.

Following the government announcement that we will be shifting to the Covid-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system) at 11.59pm on Thursday 2 December, we wanted to share with you some tips to help you understand how to obtain your My Vaccine Pass. Please see more information below.


Obtaining Your My Vaccine Pass

  1. Go to
  2. Login or sign up if you do not have an account. Please note you will need information from some form of NZ or Australian ID
  3. Request your My Vaccine Pass (please note you can only request if you have received both vaccinations)
  4. Receive the pass as a PDF to your email within 24 hours. You can present your My Vaccine Pass by any of the following:
    1. Save this to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay
    2. Save as a photo or PDF
    3. Print the pass


Please note that we strongly encourage you get your My Vaccine Pass in advance of attending an event, in case you do not receive the email immediately.
